about porch light
porch light started with a simple question.
"Would you be willing to help me with more than just my dog?"
I'm the person behind hi. good dog., a dog walking and pet care business I've run here in Doylestown for years. That work has me in and out of people's homes every day, and over time I got to know my clients well, not just their pets, but their lives.
I started noticing that some of them needed more than what I was already there for. A load of laundry. Someone to sit with for an hour. A shelf that needed hanging and no one around to ask.
Then one day, a client asked if I'd be willing to help with more than pet care.
That question stayed with me. It made me realize how many people are quietly managing on their own without complaint, people who might simply need someone they already trust to lend a hand.
That's how porch light began.
porch light isn't home health care, a cleaning company, or a handyman service. It's something in between, practical help, genuine companionship, and a trusted extra set of hands for everyday life. Every visit is built around what would make your day a little easier.
When I'm not out helping clients, you'll usually find me in my garden, checking on my small flock of chickens, or filling a sketchbook with whatever has caught my eye that day. I love slow, steady things, and I built porch light around that same idea: consistency, warmth, and showing up for people without rushing them or making things feel clinical.
Whether it’s tackling the little things that pile up,
hanging a picture that’s been sitting in the corner
for months, or simply sharing a cup of coffee and
good conversation, every visit is built around one
goal: helping life feel a little lighter.
You don’t have to manage everything on your own.
And it doesn’t have to be complicated to make
life a little easier.
That's the whole idea behind porch light.
Leave the light on.
We'll be there.
